STUDENT APPLICATION FORM
Scholarship applications open on January 1st and closes at midnight on March 31st. The applications will be reviewed and awards will be given in May at the awards ceremony date and time to be determined.
Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants must be students who plan to enroll, or are already enrolled, in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school.
Applicants must be dependent children of active members and retirees in good standing with the Benevolent Fund. (Dependent children are defined as natural or legally adopted children or a stepchild living in the member’s household or primarily supported by the member.)
Firefighter Chandra Burkhardt was known for her commitment to education and for her passion for her horses. Please write a one page essay explaining why you wish to continue your educational journey and also tell us about your passions in life. Share what defines who you are, how you spend your leisure time, or what is most important to you.
Recipients are selected based on academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in activities, work, experience, and a statement of future goals. Award amounts vary depending on number of applicants.
The information in this application is for selection of candidates for the Chandra Burkhardt Memorial Scholarship program only and shall not be shared with others for any other purpose.
